All Smiles during the Christmas Party at the Peer Center

People First of Stephens County in conjunction with Allens United Methodist Church worked in tandem to pull-off yet another successful Christmas Party at the Peer Center in Toccoa, last week.

The Stephens County Peer Center, which is a place where individuals go daily to receive support on mental health recovery and other issues.

People First of Stephens County is an organization that involves people with disabilities.

People First Event Organizer Geraldine Hayes told WNEG News that for several years People First along with Allens UMC has partnered together to provide a Christmas dinner for the participants at the Peer Center, in Toccoa.

Allens UMC’s Pastor Paul Garner, says he was honored to continue this tradition.

Byron Myers, who attends the Peer Center tells WNEG News that he considers his peers at the Peer Center as family.
