All county meetings will now use teleconference format

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners’ meeting on Tuesday, March 24, will be closed to the public and all other County meetings will follow suite, due to the emergency situation of COVID-19.

As a way to discourage groups of residents gathering in one place, the county has decided to broadcast their meetings by phone.

According to Stephens County Clerk Beth Rider, if you would like to attend the meeting by teleconference you can call 720-713-1663.

Rider says this will act as a solution to resolve the risk of residents gathering in one place.

Additionally, she says residents will be able to use the same number to access all other county meetings during this time.

Again, residents who would like to attend the meetings by teleconference can call 720-713-1663.

Rider said, residents who join by teleconference are asked to remain silent during the meetings until the public comment period.

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners meeting will begin on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
