Airplane Experiences Brake Malfunction on Runway

Habersham County Emergency Services and the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Habersham County Airport where a single-engine airplane experienced brake failure while landing.

This brake malfunction caused the plane to move off the runway and on to the side of the runway during landing.

There were three people aboard the airplane at the time of landing. All were evaluated and released at the scene.

There is no major damage to the airport, but the aircraft is still located to the side of the runway.

All proper authorities have been notified and Habersham County will notify the public as more information becomes available.
