Ag Center groundbreaking scheduled

The Stephens County School System has announced the schedule for the groundbreaking ceremony for the school’s new Stephens County Ag Center

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, School Superintendent Dr. Connie Franklin told WNEG NEws yesterday.

She said the school district is looking forward to celebrating the start of construction on a facility that will be useful for students, teachers and the community as a whole.

She said the events that will be hosted at the new facility will not only benefit those involved in the school, but will give the community a way to get behind the students by attending the events and supporting the students in their efforts.

Franklin announced that the facility will be named the Ferman Gregory Agriculture Center, and said that a portion of the groundbreaking ceremony will be reserved for a presentation on the naming of the facility.
