A.T. “Tommy” Mauldin

 

A.T. “Tommy” Mauldin, 84, of Carnesville,  passed away Saturday evening, February 26, 2022, at his home.

Born March 28, 1937, in Carnesville, he was the son of the late A. T and Faye Turner Mauldin, Sr. He was the father of the late Ralph Turner Mauldin. He received a Forestry Degree for the University of Georgia, and then served in the United States Army.  He was a retired engineer with the State of Georgia Department of Transportation, and a forest ranger for the Georgia Forestry Commission.. He was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church of Carnesville.

Survivors include his wife Linda Strickland Mauldin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Tracie Mauldin, Monroe, GA, and Scott and Denise Bailey, Decatur, Ga; grandchildren, Kane, Jackson and Sara Jane, Caroline, and Kieran;  sister, Brenda Kirkland, Augusta, GA.

Graveside services will be 2pm Tuesday afternoon at Franklin Memorial Gardens North, with Rev. Tommy Childress.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 12:30pm until 1:30 Tuesday at the funeral home prior to his services.
