A Martin man faces charges after head-on collision

A Martin man is being charged with DUI among other violations after a head-on collision Friday morning.

The incident happened shortly before 8 a.m. on Georgia Highway 145 at Kay Road.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Matthew Daniel Seay, 35, of Martin was driving north on Hwy 145 in the southbound lane.

Sheryl Hitt Farmer, 72, of Toccoa was driving south on Hwy 145.

Seay struck Farmer headon.

Both Farmer and Seay sustained injuries in the crash and were taken by ambulance to the Stephens County Hospital.

At this time, no update has been released regarding their condition.

Seay is being charged with DUI and driving while license suspended or revoked.
