Busy Week Ahead for SC Indians Athletes

Stephens County High School athletes have a full week this week, starting out with JV Boys Soccer today at home vs. Tallulah Falls School at 5:30. Varsity golfers will head to Victoria Bryant Golf Course tomorrow to take on Franklin County at 3:15. The boys and girls tennis teams will be at home this week, facing Monroe Area High School tomorrow at 4 p.m. Also tomorrow, the boys and girls soccer teams will take on Hart County at home, with the girls team taking the field at 5 p.m. and the boys game starting immediately following, at approximately 7 p.m.

The Stephens County Indians will also bring the baseball action home tomorrow as they take on Oconee County, with first pitch at 5:55 p.m. and airtime on WNEG radio and wnegradio.com at 5:45, with Ted Taylor given the live action play. 

The Indians JV Baseball team will be home on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. against Johnson High School, and also on Wednesday, the boys JV soccer team will host Hart County at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, the JV baseball team will travel to Rabun County for a 5:30 p.m. game, and on Friday, the track and field athletes will participate in the coed Jefferson Invitational Meet at Jefferson stadium at 4 p.m.

Also on Friday, the Stephens County Indians take to the diamond again, this time for a double header at Oconee County, with first game first pitch at 5 p.m. and airtime on wneg at 4:45, with WNEG’s Phil Hobbs on the mic. 

Other competitions on Friday include Girls soccer at 5:30 on the road at Oconee County and boys soccer on the road at Oconee County at 7:30 p.m.

Closing out the week on Saturday, the boys JV baseball team has a double header at home facing Lumpkin county at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
