North Georgia Tech to Offer Three New Courses of Study This Fall

North Georgia Technical College is planning on offering some new classes and programs this fall on the Clarkesville Campus for college students as well as dual enrollment students.

Spokesperson Kelly Jones tells WNEG News the college will offer a new Diesel Engine Service Technician course of study beginning this fall, and students can receive certification in only two terms.

Courses include diesel shop safety, tools and equipment, electrical systems and engines and support systems.

Additionally, a new Agriculture program, funded by a donation from the Tommy and Bernice Irvin Foundation, opens this fall with classes in Agribusiness, Modern Agriculture and Urban Sustainable Food Production.

And, a new Business Management Program begins with fall semester allowing students to earn an associate degree for entry into management and supervisory occupations.

Jones said students may choose to specialize in small business management, human resource management, marketing management or general business.

Application deadline for summer semester is April 26, 2018.

Fall applications are also being taken at this time for students to reserve class schedules early.
