Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Opens to Large Crowds in Toccoa

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Toccoa is now officially open for business.

Hundreds of customers lined up in front of the new store on Big A Road early this morning waiting to get inside and snap up some bargains.

Bill Dorsey and his wife pulled into the Ollie’s parking lot Tuesday night in their camper to make sure they were first in line when the doors opened at 9a.

“I got here at midnight last night,” Dorsey said.

Dorsey was also first in line to get a ticket for an autograph from NASCAR legend Bill Elliot.

Others, like Terry Almond and George Fincannon of Carnesville are also faithful Ollie’s shoppers.

Almond was second in line this morning, sitting in her folding chair since 3am and Fincannon was third.

“Oh I’m addicted,” said Almond. “It’s got so much stuff and you never see the same thing twice.”

“I’ve been to the one in Greenville, Tennessee,” Fincannon said.

Thomas Sizemore is the District Team Leader for Ollie’s Bargain Discounts.

He said those who aren’t familiar with Ollie’s Bargain Discounts will be pleasantly surprised at the discounts and the quality of the merchandise.

Sizemore says Ollie’s is unlike any other shopping experience

“It’s unique. That sums it up in one word. We are that store that you need to have time to shop us when you come in,” he said. “We’re not always going to have the same items, but what we will have are name-brand items at very low prices.”

Sizemore said the Toccoa Ollie’s offers 30,000 square feet of discounted merchandise.

New Toccoa Ollie’s is located in the Towne Plaza Shopping Center on Big A Road.
