32 percent of Stephens County residents fully vaccinated against COVID-19, despite CDC’s report

District 2 Public Health has released corrected data for Stephens County’s vaccinated population, after the Center for Disease Control and Prevention released inaccurate data.

WNEG News reported on Wednesday, only 1,641 residents in Stephens County were fully vaccinated, as was stated on the CDC’s website; however, those numbers were inaccurate.

According to District 2 Public Health Public Information Officer Natasha Young, 16,756 vaccines have been administered in Stephens County.

Residents with one dose totals 8,844 or 34 percent of the population.

Residents with two doses totals 8,115 or 32 percent of the population.
