30th annual Children’s Costume Parade deemed a success

Main Street Toccoa’s 30th annual Children’s Costume Parade was a success.

Hundreds of tiny trick-or-treaters lined up on Doyle and Alexander streets, last Friday, for the annual Children’s Costume parade and costume contest.

Businesses lined downtown to fill children’s baskets and bags with candy as they passed by.

Children were also treated to juice and cookies at the end of their candy stroll.

And as it does every year, the parade ended with the announcement of winners for best costumes.

Winners were chosen in three categories.

In the Age 2 and Under category, 3rd Place went to Aleena Vasquez for their Raggedy Ann costume; 2nd Place went to Boston Ivester for their Circus Lion costume; and 1st Place was awarded to Ruthy McAllister for their Cutie Pie costume.

In the Age 3 category, 3rd Place went to Olivia Henry for their Mac n’ Cheese costume; 2nd Place went to Reed Norton for their John Deere Tractor costume; and 1st Place was awarded to Carson Cottrell for their Race Car costume.

In the Age 4 and Over category, 3rd Place went to Avery Adams for their Blippie costume; 2nd Place went to Luke Holbrooks for their Thomas the Train costume; and 1st Place was awarded to Jaxon Adams for their Biker costume.

The Best Original/Handmade/Creative costume winner was the Overstreet Family for their Frozen Theme costumes.
