3 arrested for drugs, after deputy spots car driving without headlights at night

Three people have been arrested after a White County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was patrolling the area around Daybreak Road, in Cleveland.

According to a report issued by Mitchell Posey with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, the deputy witnessed a car turn onto Daybreak Road and immediately turn its headlights off but continued driving.

The deputy decided to investigate, especially since it was dark and raining.

Shortly after his pursuit, he found two people standing outside of the vehicle, and witnessed one of them throw a small quantity of methamphetamine in the floorboard of the car.

The ARDEO was called in to assist the White County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities searched the car and found approximately 6-ounces of methamphetamine, 2-ounces of marijuana, various prescription pills and $4,677. The street value of the illegal narcotics was approximately $20,000.

Melissa Jane Grizzle, 41, of Alto was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

David Bryan Ferguson, 38, of Flowery Branch was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Cassandra Lynelle Medlock, 28, of Sautee Nachoochee was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

All three were transported to the White County Detention Center.

According to Posey the investigation continues and additional charges are pending.
