3 arrested after search warrant at Georgia Housing Authority apartment

The Toccoa Police Department made three arrests after a search warrant.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, on July 8, Toccoa Police Department’s Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 89 Queen Street, on an apartment inside the Georgia Housing Authority apartments.

The search warrant was the result of a month-long investigation into the sale of Methamphetamine from the residence.

Following the search warrant the registered occupant of the apartment, Diane Alexander, and two other subjects were arrested.

Diane Alexander, 48, of Toccoa, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, drug transactions within 1,000 feet of government housing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects.

Kelvin Scott, 44, of Toccoa, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects.

Lamont Wheeler, 49, of Toccoa, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

Mize says the investigation into this case continues and more arrest are possible.
