2 Eastanollee men arrested on drug charges

Two Eastanollee man were arrested after investigators were led to their residence through multiple tips.

According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, investigators with his department recently wrapped up a lengthy drug investigation.

He says they had been focusing on a residence located at 599 Gooseneck Road, in Eastanollee where an individual was reportedly selling methamphetamine.

Investigators had received multiple tips about the location and were conducting surveillance.

Shirley said they soon learned that a resident there, 36-year-old Clinton Thomas Pritchett, had active parole warrants, prompting investigators to approach the residence and make contact with Pritchett and place him under arrest for the outstanding warrant.

During the course of the investigation along with several items that were located during the arrest, investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for the home.

Inside the residence and an adjacent storage building, Shirley said his investigators discovered more than half-a-pound of methamphetamine and a handgun that had been reported stolen from Habersham County.

Pritchett was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, felony theft by receiving a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during certain crimes, and probation/parole violation.

Shirley adds that investigators also arrested 32-year-old James Neave, of Eastanollee.

Neave was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Both are being held at the Stephens County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
