2 arrested for meth, marijuana

Two Toccoa residents are behind bars after Toccoa Police uncovered a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana were found in their possession.

Last week, Toccoa Police Department’s Canine Officer was called to a traffic stop on Hwy 123 and Fernside Drive, where the canine alerted the presence of drugs in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, a baggy containing three large shards of methamphetamine were found in a metal box.

Also inside the metal box, was a glass smoking pipe with residue and a bag of marijuana.

A second glass pipe, with residue of methamphetamine, was found inside a black pocket book.

Jasmine Rhianna Mckim, 29, of Toccoa, was arrested and charged with Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects.

Joseph McGarity Adams, 30, of Toccoa, was arrested and charged with Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects.
