Toccoa man indicted on two counts of child molestation

A Toccoa man has been indicted on two counts of child molestation.

The Grand Jury handed down the indictment last week in Stephens County Superior Court.

According to the indictment, David Wayne Ross, of Toccoa was accused of two counts of child molestation.

The first case, stems from an incident that occurred between the dates of August 22, 2016 and April 18, 2018.

The indictment states that Ross sexually molested a child under the age of 16.

In the second count, Ross is accused of molesting another child, who like the first victim, was under the age of 16.

The second incident occurred between the dates of August 22, 2016 and April 18, 2018.

After a grand jury indictment, a defendant has the opportunity to enter a plea.

If the defendant pleads not guilty, the case will move forward to trial.
