Toast of Toccoa Street Closures to Begin Friday at Midnight

The annual Toast of Toccoa, which was rescheduled from its original date of May 4 due to weather concerns, is set for this Saturday, May 18, from noon to 6 p.m.

WNEG News will talk with Toccoa Special Events Coordinator Misty Richardson regarding the event for a feature article later this week, but city officials are wanting to give citizens and visitors advance notice that there will be street closures in connection with the event. 

Interior downtown streets, including East Doyle Street from Alexander Street to North Hill Street, and along Sage and Pond Streets from Foreacre Street to Tugaloo Street. Closures will begin at Midnight Friday and will last through the end of the event at 6 p.m. on Saturday. 

City officials are also inviting downtown area businesses to include business specials and giveaways that will be held during the event on the event map.
