Stephens County Grand Jury Hands Down Indictments

A charge of sexual contact by an employee or agent in the first degree, and an indictment including four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism Prevention Act, and four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, as well as five DUI charges, seven methamphetamine-related charges, five aggravated assault charges, and a rape charge were included in the 26 indictments handed down by the Stephens County Grand Jury on July 10.

Cornelius Devaughn Curry and Sarah Nicole Wyatt were indicted, individually and as parties concerned in the commission of a crime, on four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism Prevention Act, and four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in March of this year, when Curry and Wyatt allegedly fired a firearm from a vehicle towards four separate individuals, while associated with the criminal street gang Gangster Disciples.

Also, Kristina Anne Warden was indicted on one count sexual contact by employee or agent in the first degree.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in June or July of 2022, when Warden, at the time an employee of the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, allegedly had sexual intercourse with a male individual in the custody of the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.
