SCBC Recognize several 4-H’ers during recent meeting

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners recognized a group of 4-H’ers during its regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday.

County Administrator Christian Hamilton explained that four of the 4-H’ers were being recognized for their recent participation in the 5th grade anti-litter poster contest.

Stephens County’s 4-H program and Keep Toccoa-Stephens County Beautiful partner together each year for the poster contest.

Hamilton says the contest teaches students the environmental and economic repercussions that littering has on a community.

The Anti-Litter Poster Contest winners were Ethan Brumbaugh, Eden Sullivan, Aliyia Foster, and Emi Vena.

Additionally, a Stephens County 4-H’er was named the winner of the annual 4-H Holiday Card Contest.

Hamilton says Daphane Hubble, a 5th grade 4-H’er at Stephens County 5th Grade Academy was selected as the winner after competing against the entire state of Georgia.
