Ritz Theatre Rings in Christmas Season With Holiday Movies, Performances

The Ritz Theatre will be hosting a lot of holiday cheer in December, beginning with their Night at the Ritz movie series.

The series begins December 6 with the Polar Express.

That will be followed by White Christmas on December 14 and closes with The Star on December 20th.

Tickets are just a $1 and showings for all movies are at 10a and 7p.

In addition to the holiday movie line up this month, the Ritz Theatre will also present a performance of It’s a Wonderful Life: Live from WVL Radio Theatre on Thursday, December 13th at 7pm.

This 1940s “live broadcast” of Frank Capra’s beloved film will take you back to the Golden Age of Radio.

Sponsored by TruVista in Toccoa, the performance is set in the fictional studio of WVL Radio Theatre on a cold, snowy winter night.

Due to the blizzard, the professional voice actors are unable to get through, but the show must go on — so a small, intrepid band of employees manage to create the dozens of characters and scenes using just their voices and a sound effects table.

Tickets for the live performance of It’s a Wonderful Life are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and students.
