No one hurt in single-vehicle accident in Toccoa

No one was hurt in the accident that occurred on Saturday at a Toccoa restaurant.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, on August 24, his officers were dispatched to the Hardee’s Restaurant, located at 1002 Big A Road, in reference to an single-vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the driver of the damaged vehicle, Mary Gresham.

Gresham told officers that she was pulling into a parking space near the building when she ran over the parking barrier and struck the building with the front of her vehicle.

Mize says Gresham was driving a 2008 Honda CRV.

The building sustained substantial damage to one exterior wall.

Gresham told officers she couldn’t remember if she pressed the brake or the gas.

No one was injured in the accident, and no citations were given.
