Mrs. Wanda Fuller Baker

Mrs. Wanda Fuller Baker, age 67, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA.

Born December 7, 1952 in Stephens County, she was the daughter of the late Willis Samuel and Sarah Jane Haddock Fuller.

She attended Fresh Fire Worship Center in Baldwin and was a homemaker.  Wanda also worked at Ingles and Quality Foods.

Family members include her daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Steve Powers and Miriam Baker and Jeremie Fluharty; grandchildren, Lindsey and Shawn Borton, Haley and Calvin Boyer, and Madelyn Baker; great-grandchildren, Jensen Dean Powers and Greysen Borton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Loyde Pless and Beverly and Tom Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Ronny and Melanie Fuller; her best friend and neighbor, Doris Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Mitchell Nathaniel “Shakey” Baker; and her brothers, Charles Fuller, Ray Fuller, and Donald Fuller.

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family has chosen to have an outdoor celebration of life service for their mother at Whitlock Mortuary.  The service will be at two o’clock Saturday, August 29, 2020 with Bishop Steve Powers and the Rev. Mickey Umbehant officiating. 

Everyone is welcome to attend the service where social distancing will be observed.

 

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Shawn Borton, Calvin Boyer, Jay Vickery, Tim Ledford, and Brian Fuller.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
