March of Dimes Super Hero 5K is tomorrow

In a world where birth defects, premature births, and infant mortality affect over 400,000 babies born each year, a group of super heroes answered the call and together joined the fight to save the babies.

You too, can be a hero by attending the Stephens/Franklin County March of Dimes’ Annual Superhero 5K Run/Walk.

On Saturday, September 29, come be a hero by supporting the March of Dimes and their mission to save the babies by competing in the 5K race, held at Boyd Field in Toccoa.

Leon Womack is leading the event in Toccoa. He says registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K begins at 9:00 a.m.

The cost to register is $25.

He encourages the community to come out and enjoy a day of fun for the whole family.

The 5K run/walk will benefit Stephens/Franklin County March of Dimes.

The course is USATF Certified and is an official AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Race.

Womack invites everyone to dress up as their favorite superhero or to create their own.
