Local Non-Profits Encouraged to Apply for Community Impact Grant

The North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) is accepting applications for its Community Impact Grants.

According to their Web site, the non-profit foundation was created in 1985 by a group of citizens interested in encouraging philanthropy and strengthening communities.

The Community Impact Grant Program was established to enhance the spirit of community and quality of life by supporting the network of non-profits that serve throughout North Georgia.

The counties included in the NGCF region are: Banks, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White.

Among the local non-profit groups that received grants last year include, the Toccoa Chapter of the Salvation Army and the Northeast Georgia Food Bank, which serves Toccoa-Stephens County.

However, any non-profit group in Stephens and surrounding counties is encouraged to apply.

Last year, the program awarded $66,611.50 to 27 organizations in 2018.

All grant applications must be submitted online through the Foundation’s web portal at: https://www.ngcf.org/nonprofits/community-impact-grants/

Applicants will need a user ID and password to access and complete the online application.
