Lady Indians fall to Oconee, 13-5

The Stephens County Lady Indians softball team fell to Oconee County, 13-5 on Thursday.

Oconee County scored one run in the first inning. The Lady Warriors pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. Oconee County scored five more runs in the fifth inning.

Allie Huff took the loss for Stephens County. The Lady Indians collected nine hits with Samara Walker leading Stephens County with three hits in three at bats.

Stephens County falls to 4 & 3 on the season and 1 & 2 in region play.

The Lady Indians will be back in action tonight (Aug. 27) at 6:30 p.m., when they host Franklin County in a non-region contest. 93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will broadcast the game with airtime at 6:15.
