Indians to Face Off Against Travis Noland’s Dragons

The Stephens County Indians will put their 3 & 0 record on the line tonight as they travel down to Jefferson to take on the number 2 team in Class AAA, the Jefferson Dragons. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. 

The Indians defeated Cedar Shoals last Friday in Athens, 52 to 3. Jefferson defeated Clarke Central at home last Friday, 42 to 14, to improve their record to 2 & 1. 

Jefferson is coached by former Stephens County Coach Travis Noland. The Indians and Dragons have not played each other since 2017.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Indians defensive line and special teams coach Brad Whitfield said he expects a tough, physical ballgame tonight:

93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will begin our coverage tonight with the Indian Road Show at 6:30 p.m., followed by Coach’s Corner at 7, and pre-game live from the stadium at 7:15 p.m.
