Hart County Sheriff, Police Investigating Multiple Shootings Thought To Be Gang Related

Several recent shootings in Hart County are under investigation and thought by law enforcement officials to be gang related. Anyone with information on any of the shootings is asked to contact 911 or a local law enforcement agency.

The Hartwell Police Department is currently investigating three shootings that occurred on Sunday, July 21, in the city limits of Hartwell, and the Hart County Sheriff’s Office is investigating another July 21 shooting where multiple rounds were fired in the county on Scott Town Drive.

Also, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, in the early morning hours of Friday, July 26 Hart County Deputies responded to and are investigating a shooting that occurred on Pearl Road off of Hodges Mill Road.

Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland indicated that he has reason to believe that these shootings are gang related.
