City Commission reappoints several advisory board members

On Monday, June 12, at the regular meeting of the Toccoa City Commission,
commissioners acted to fill vacancies on several of the city’s committees and advisory
boards.

The terms of two members of the five-member Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will
expire on June 30.

Both members, Melissa Plaisted and Deidra Scott, have agreed to serve another three-
year term on the volunteer board.

Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Plaisted and Scott for another term.
On June 30, the terms of three members of the five-member Historic Preservation
Commission will expire. All three members — Debbie Allen, Victor Cuvo and Gary
Cortellino — have agreed to serve another three-year term on the volunteer board.
Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Allen, Cuvo and Cortellino for another
term.

The term of one member of the three-member Toccoa Housing Board will expire on
June 30. That member, Dave Stancil, has agreed to serve another three-year term.
Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Stancil for another term.

The term of two members of the five-member Toccoa Planning Commission will expire
on June 30. Those members — chair Suzy Bellamy and vice chair Billie Thompson —
have agreed to serve another three-year term.

Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Bellamy and Thompson for another term.
