The Stephens County Board of Education meets for its regularly scheduled meeting later today. That meeting is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. at the Stephens County School System Administrative Offices on Mize Road. Today’s Board of Education meeting is open to the public.

The Toccoa City Commission meets Tuesday at 5 p.m. for a meeting and 4 p.m. for a work session at Toccoa City Hall, not Monday as WNEG originally reported. WNEG regrets the error.

The Stephens County School System hires a new finance director. On Thursday, the Stephens County Board of Education voted unanimously to hire Alicia Fitzpatrick as the new school system finance director.
