Brock Recognized as Work-based Learning Student of the Month

Allie Brock, a Senior at Stephens County High School, was recently named the Work-based Learning Student of the Month for March. 

WBL Coordinator Jennifer Blasingame called Brock’s commitment and achievements “truly remarkable,” saying she is excelling at her Work-Based Learning placement at M&J Home Cooking Country Buffet, where she assists in various tasks, including tending the cash register, setting up for the day, and assisting in marketing and advertising.

Additionally, Brock is an exceptional student at school, performing extremely well in all her classes, where she has taken three Spanish classes, five Physical Education and Health classes, Technology, Graphic Arts, and Healthcare classes, Blasingame said.

Brock has actively participated in soccer and volleyball at Stephens County High School. Recently, she played a significant role in the school’s volleyball program, demonstrating leadership on and off the court.

Volleyball coach John LaFevers said, “Her positive attitude and unwavering support for her teammates have made her an invaluable asset to the team.” 

LaFevers is highly enthusiastic about Brock’s future and her upcoming volleyball career at Toccoa Falls College, where she plans to pursue a major in Business Administration and has shown interest in Digital Marketing.

Apart from her academic and athletic achievements, Brock is also an active community member, volunteering with the Children’s Ministry and Operation Christmas Child program at Grace Fellowship Church. Coach Jerry Underwood commends her outstanding work ethic and positive impact in the classroom, highlighting her well-rounded personality and achievements.
