Board of Education to meet for work session on Thursday
The Stephens County Board of Education will meet for a scheduled work session this Thursday, August 10, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the school district main office, 191 Big A School Road in Toccoa.
As is standard practice with the current school board, the work session will review each item on the agenda for that month’s regular session of the School Board. The regular session of the board for August will be at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15 at the main office.
Items on the agenda for the August 15 meeting, to be discussed at the work session this Thursday, include a review of the July budget and SPLOST reports, approval of fundraisers and field trips, and a facilities update. Also on the agenda is discussion of the purchase of new software for the middle school and the board training program for FY2024.
School system policy changes under review include changes to the Medication, Graduation and Financial Reports policies. Copies of the draft amendments will be available on wnegradio.com or on the school system website at stephenscountyschools.com.
