Alana’s Clutch Hitting Propels SCMS Rebels To Victory Over Hart County Middle School Softball

In softball news, Stephens County Middle School’s Alana Thurmond drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Lady Rebels past Hart County Middle School Softball 7-4 on Tuesday. The Lady Rebels are now 9 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie on the season.

Thurmond tripled in the second inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the first inning, scoring one.

SCMS Rebels got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Hart County committed an error, and Thurmond doubled, scoring one run to put the Lady Rebels up by 2.

Stephens County scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning; Kacey Wallace drew a walk, scoring one run, Thurmond tripled, scoring three runs, and Karlie Brady doubled, scoring one run.

Kacey Wallace earned the win for SCMS Rebels. The starter surrendered seven hits and four runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two. Mailey Addison stole two bases.
