A Veterans Day Observance will be held today, at Camp Toccoa

Today is Veterans Day, and in honor of the holiday, an observance is being held in the Pavilion at Camp Toccoa at Currahee.

The event is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Veterans from all wars and conflicts, families and guests are invited to join.

According to Organizer Rick Hack, Major General (Ret.) James A. Guest will be the speaker for the Veterans Day Observance.

Hack adds that transportation to and from the parking lot will be provided.

Marines from the Marine Corps League, Currahee Mountain Detachment 1303, in Toccoa, will have a Toys for Tots drop-off box where you can donate a new, unwrapped toy for the 2019 Toy Drive to benefit children in Stephens County.

Following the presentation, the local VFW Post 4346 will provide a hotdog lunch.

Hack encourages all veterans to be involved and attend this Veterans Day Observance.
