Mr. Dan Nathaniel Turpin

Mr. Dan Nathaniel Turpin, age 70, of Toccoa passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at Stephens County Hospital.
Born January 27, 1954 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Horace and Lucille Leverette Turpin.
Mr. Turpin was a retired shipping manager at Patterson Pump, and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family, and he loved working in his yard.  In his younger days, he enjoyed restoring cars.
Family members include his wife, Cathy Carpenter Turpin of Toccoa; son, Matt Turpin (Julie) of Toccoa; grandchildren, Tate Turpin and Talley Turpin; and nieces, Sharon Willis and Pam Arrowood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Turpin, and his sister, Marie Willis.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12pm until the service hour on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Sunday, September 15, 2024 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Dr. Jamie Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Tate Turpin, Scott Carpenter, Corey Carpenter, David Cleveland, Jared Eakins, Emmitt Carpenter and Kenny Hill.
Flowers are optional.  Memorial donations may be made to the Ebenezer Mission Fund.
