School System to Continue Implementation of Leader In Me

As reported by WNEG News during the last school year, The Stephens County Board of Education approved of, and the School System implemented a district-wide leadership initiative called Leader In Me.

Earlier this week, School Superintendent Dr. Connie Franklin confirmed to WNEG News that the Leader in Me curriculum will continue to be utilized in all schools during the 2024-25 school year.

The Stephens County School System was one of several school systems in Georgia chosen to participate in this program through a Georgia Department of Education selection process and state funding totaling more than $362,000.

According to district information, The Leader in Me curriculum is based on a book titled 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and is specifically adapted for schools, where students will learn how to apply the 7 Habits to their personal, academic, and professional lives while helping the schools improve leadership, culture, and academics.
