Indians Pick Up Big Road Win at Rabun

Corey Richie scored 25 points and the Stephens County Indians basketball team received contributions from every player that took the floor in a 58-50 win over Rabun County Tuesday night in Tiger.

Richie scored 14 of his 25 points in the 2nd half and the Indians went on a 13-3 run to start the 4th quarter to break open the close game.

Rabun County, now 3-4 on the season, was led by Jayton Henry with 12 points.

Stephens County improves to 2-3 on the season and will travel to North Oconee on Saturday.

In the girls’ game, the undefeated Rabun County Lady Cats held Stephens County to just 3 first half points and rolled to a 57-25 victory.

The Lady Indians were led in scoring by MyAngel Carter with 6 points. Lucy Hood led three Lady Cats in double digits with 13.

Rabun County improves to 7-0. Stephens County falls to 1-5.

The Lady Indians will travel to West Hall on Friday for a make-up game at 6 P.M.
