Mrs. Ondeene Hallford Carter

Mrs. Ondeene Hallford Carter, age 87, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at her home.

Born June 18, 1935 in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Howard Acree “Acke” and Estelle Ivester Hallford.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from WABCO and E-Z Bore.

Family members include her husband, Darwin Carter of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Carter and Norris Quinn, Stephanie Grafton and Mark Darrough, Patricia and Stacy Pulliam, all of Toccoa; son, Erwin Carter of Toccoa; grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) Campbell, Amy (Will) Cox, Levi (Megan) Pulliam, Sarah Carter, Emmalee Carter, and Macie Carter; great-grandchildren, Carter Cox and Jane Cox; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy (Brenda) Hallford of Toccoa and Donald (Asalene) Hallford of Carnesville; sister, Barbara McFarlin of Pelzer, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Trenton Carter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mozelle

(D. B.)Holland and Joanne Hallford; brothers, Jack Hallford and William Charles “Curley” and Mary Hallford.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Thursday, August 11, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. David Sosebee officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.
