Lions-Trojans Will Decide Champion on Monday

Franklin County and North Hall will play one game for the state title on Monday. The two teams split the first two games on Saturday in the AAA Baseball State Championship best of 3 series being played at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

In game one, North Hall scored 8 runs in the 5th inning and rolled to a 13-1 victory.

In game two, Franklin County pitcher Kayne Jinks shutdown the Trojans with a complete game, and Chandler Coulter and JD Ginn had RBI’s to lead the Lions to a 3-1 win.

Both teams have Stephens County connections with the Lions from Region-8, and the Trojans coached by former Stephens County coach Trevor Flow.

Monday’s game is scheduled for a 12 noon start and can be heard on WNEG’s sister station 92.1 FM WLHR.
