Lady Indians Hope to Repeat 2017

In 2017, the Stephens County Lady Indians Softball team went on an incredible run all the way to the State Championship final game. Stephens County was the #3 seed from Region-8 and had to play every state playoff game on the road.

Turn to 2018…
The Lady Indians hope for a repeat performance when they represent Region-8 as the #3 seed again in the AAAA State Playoffs, and will be on the road in the first round at Central of Carrollton. The best of three series is now scheduled to begin Tuesday due to impending weather.

Madison County defeated Oconee County 11-2 on Thursday to take the Region title. The Lady Red Raiders are the Region’s #1 seed and will host Cedartown in the first round. Oconee County is the Region’s #2 seed and will host Lagrange. North Oconee, the Region’s #4 seed, will travel to Chapel Hill.

93.1 F.M. and AM-630 WNEG will broadcast the Lady Indians State Playoff games. Tuesday’s airtime for the doubleheader from Central of Carrollton is set for 4:15 P.M. with first pitch at 4:30 P.M. The games can also be heard at wnegradio.com.
