Toccoa 9&10 Baseball All-Stars Advance in District 7 Tournament

The Toccoa 9 & 10 All-Star Baseball team advanced in the winners bracket last night with a 16-5 victory in 5 innings over Hart County in the Little League District 7 Tournament in Danielsville.
Toccoa’s starting pitcher, Andrew Skvarka, pitched 4 innings giving up 4 runs.  Skvarka also had a good night at the plate with 3 hits and 1 RBI.  Toccoa scored in every inning.  After Hart County tied the game in the bottom of the 2nd inning, Toccoa broke the game open with 5 runs in the top of the 3rd and 6 more runs in the top of the 5th.

Toccoa will be off tonight, as they await the winner out of the elimination bracket in a game that will be played Thursday night at 7 in Danielsville.

Toccoa’s 9 & 10 Girls Softball All-Stars will play their first game of the District 7 Tournament being held in Rabun County tonight–they’ll face Hart County at 7 p.m.  WNEG will broadcast the game tonight with airtime at 6:45.
