TFC Sports Update
It was a busy weekend for athletics at Toccoa Falls College.
First, the TFC baseball team lost two of three games with Truett McConnell.
TFC won the one game, 2-1, but lost the others 10-7 in 10 innings and 14-4.
Meanwhile, the Toccoa Falls men’s basketball team had a huge win on Friday night, beating region-leading Trinity Baptist College, 93-80.
The win put TFC in a tie for first place.
TFC’s men’s hoops team also topped Columbia International on Senior Day, 89-70. That was the last home game for seniors Josh Barrett, Jon Sauls, and Derek Westfall.
As for the Toccoa Falls Collge women’s basketball team, it scored a big come-from-behind victory over Trinity Baptist on Friday, 58-54. TFC trailed by 17 in the first half, but came back with late game dramatics.
Toccoa lost to Columbia International on Saturday, though, 43-34.
That was the last home game for seniors Rachel Morris and Esther Shady and student assistant Stephanie Clements.
