Chamber President Search Continues
The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce’s search for a new Chamber President could be nearing an end.
Chamber Board Chair Greg Roach said that the board plans to hold a called meeting on Monday regarding the search.
Roach said the plan is for a vote to take place on Monday by the Chamber Board to extend an offer to a candidate for the position of Chamber President.
Whoever receives and accepts the position will replace Wendi Bailey, who retired in August after serving as Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce President for nearly eight years.
The job was posted back in mid-August and the Chamber of Commerce’s search committee received 29 applications.
A search committee then went through those applications and then conducted interviews with some candidates.
Throughout the search process, Roach has said the Chamber’s goal is to have a new Chamber President by Thanksgiving.
