7 arrested after law enforcement swarm Toccoa

Recently officials with several Law Enforcement Agencies swarmed the streets of Toccoa in response to recent violent crimes and drug activity which ended in the arrest of seven people.

Law enforcement with the Toccoa Police Department, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Department, the Georgia State Patrol, the Department of Community Supervision, the Department of Corrections and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation executed consent searches and served arrest warrants in an effort to reduce future criminal activity.

The following were arrested and transported to the Stephens County Detention Center:

  • Mitchell Tate, 37, of Toccoa was arrested on South Sage Street for possession of cocaine;
  • Manathon Colbert, 36, of Toccoa was arrested on Tatum Drive for possession of marijuana;
  • Christopher Crumpler, 28, of Toccoa was arrested on Lovell Circle for possession of methamphetamine and providing a false name and date of birth;
  • Albert Bruce, 25, of Toccoa was arrested on Tower Road for possession of marijuana;
  • Christopher Lacy, 31, of Toccoa was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana;
  • Amber Mosley, 36, of Toccoa was arrested for possession of methamphetamine;
  • Alicia Peacock, 34, of Toccoa was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

Lacy, Mosley and Peacock were all arrested on West Whitman Street.

The aforementioned string of arrests were the results of an investigation with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO).
