Workforce Development Career Coach in Toccoa Today

A mobile unit designed to help people with their job searches will be in Stephens County today.

The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Workforce Development Career Coach will visit the Toccoa-Stephens County Library today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The library is located on West Savannah Street in Toccoa.

Workforce Development Trainer Micah Thomas said that the mobile unit is a free resource that can provide people with help on their resume.

“We assist individuals who may need help coming up with a resume, or who have one but need it critiqued,” he said.

He went on to say that the mobile unit can help with other things as well.

“We help assist people who want to change careers but don’t know what to change to,” he said. “We have access to online career assessments and we help them walk through it.”

The mobile unit can also help people search and apply for jobs, as well as learn about tuition assistance and on-the-job training programs.

People do not have to make an appointment to use the mobile training unit, but if it is busy, there may be a wait.
