TPD Hosting School Supply Drive

When the Stephens County School System announced earlier this year that the school would be facing reduced state and federal funding through the loss of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Releif Fund, or ESSER funding and Title V funding, Chief of Police Jimmy Mize and the law enforcement personnel a the Toccoa Police Department decided to help fill the gap by hosting a School Supply Drive.

Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours at the Toccoa Police Department, located on the lower level of City Hall, 92 N. Alexander Street.

Requested school supplies include hand sanitizer, kleenex, disinfectant spray, #2 pencils, blue and black pens, highlighters, lysol wipes, colored pencils, crayons, single-subject notebooks, loose leaf notebook paper and bandaids.

Supplies for school nurses are also being requested, including coloring books, crayons, hard and soft peppermints, underwear for ages 4 and up, cough drops, liquid tylenol, liquid motrin, baby wipes, hair ties and hydrocortisone cream.
