Toccoa Juniors Advance to District 7 Final

The Toccoa Little League Junior All-Stars advanced to the District 7 title game downing host Hart County 14-4 in five innings Tuesday night in Hartwell.

Toccoa trailed 2-1 after 2 innings but scored 11 runs over the next two innings to blow the game open. Toccoa got contributions throughout the lineup with Thompson Bullard leading the way with 3 RBI’s, and 2 RBI’s each from Dylan Elrod, Jasper Davenport, and Eli Stonecypher. Ryan King, Landry Williams, and Zach Brown each added an RBI and Seth Stonecypher reached base on all four at bats and scored 3 runs.

Caden Hamilton was outstanding on the mound pitching 4 1/3 innings and allowing 4 runs on 5 hits while striking out 6. Davenport got the final two outs on the mound for Toccoa.

Wyatt Harrell and Cooper Reynolds had 2 RBI’s each for Hart County who used five pitchers in the game.

Toccoa and Hart County will meet for the 3rd time and the district 7 championship on Wednesday night in Hartwell. Airtime is scheduled for 6:45 P.M. with first pitch at 7 P.M. on WNEG.
