Toccoa 10U All-Stars Roll Over Oglethorpe

The Toccoa 10U All-Star baseball team stayed alive in the district 7 tournament Tuesday night with a resounding 16-0 win in 3 innings over the host team Oglethorpe County.

Toccoa scored six runs in the top of the 1st inning and then added five runs in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings.

Toccoa had 13 hits in the game with Rhett Addison going 3 for 3, and two hits each from Isaac Gibson and Bo Miller. Miller and Ryan Hill each had 3 RBI’s, Britton Scott added 2 RBI’s, and Gibson, Addison, Brayden Figueroa, and Levi Phillips each added an RBI.

Miller was outstanding on the mound, limiting Oglethorpe to just one hit.

In the evening’s other contest Elbert County advanced to the district championship game with a 14-3 win over Franklin County.

Toccoa will face Franklin County tonight at 7 P.M. with the winner advancing to play Elbert County. Airtime on 93.1 FM, AM-630 WNEG and at wnegradio.com is scheduled for 6:45 P.M.
