Stephens Co. Hospital Announces Christmas Card Winner

Stephens County Hospital announces the winner of its annual Christmas Card contest.

Thursday, Hospital officials traveled to Eastanollee Elementary Contest to announce that Abby Burkhart won this year’s contest.

Abby is a 5th grader at Eastanollee Elementary.

“I just drew a night on Christmas Eve where Santa Claus is going through the night,” she said.

The picture includes presents and children.

Abby goes on to say that she is very excited to win the contest.

“It is just awesome!” she said.

Abby’s card was chosen from a number of entries.

Stephens County Hospital Administrator Ed Gambrell said it was a tough decision, but adds Abby’s drawing was very well done.

“Her picture just stood out among all of them,” said Gambrell. “We had a lot of good pictures, but Abby’s is the one we chose,” said Gambrell.

Gambrell said that Stephens County Hospital appreciates all of the students that participated in this year’s contest.

Abby’s picture will appear on the front of this year’s Stephens County Hospital Christmas cards.

The Stephens County Hospital Foundation also presented her with a prize for winning the contest.
