SCHS Volleyball Season Complete

The inaugural season of volleyball at Stephens County High School is complete.

Stephens County wrapped up that first season with a number of matches last week.

Lady Indian Volleyball Head Coach Michael Thomas said that the team finished with an overall record of 13-28 this year.

The Lady Indians did not play a region varsity schedule in this, their initial year.

Thomas said the first season was very successful, adding that the team played hard throughout the entire season while learning a lot about a new sport and competing in every match.

He said the team did a good job of preparing itself throughout the season and gained a lot of experience that will carry forward.

The Lady Indians lose just three seniors off of this year’s team, according to Thomas.

He said that next year, Stephens County plans to field both a varsity and junior varsity team for volleyball.
