SCHS Basketball Splits at Home with Franklin Co.

The Franklin County Lady Lions scored the first 20 points of the game Saturday night en route to a 62-18 win over the Stephens County Lady Indians at the Currahee Arena.

The Lady Indians only scored five points in the first quarter and could not score more than six points in any quarter of the game.

Kayla Russell scored 18 points and Abby Hunter had 17 points in leading the Lady Lions to the win.

Meanwhile, the Stephens County Indian boys defeated Franklin County 43-38 Saturday.

Tavoris Davis scored 19 points and Tyrik Combs had 15 points by hitting five three-pointers.

Kalep Leverette led Franklin County with 11 points and Jovan Patterson chipped in 10.

The Lady Indians are now 10-9 on the season and the Indian boys are 3-16.

Stephens County returns home Tuesday to host Eastside at the Currahee Arena.
